- Develop the habit to photograph with intention visually differentiating differences between subject matter, content, form and context.
- Explore photography as a communication medium.
- Utilize the camera to define the emphasis of the photographic image.
Exercise Description
This exercise complements your learning by pushing you to photograph daily with intention. It extends the projects since it’s ongoing and not restricted to a set deadline. Although you are expected to take 36 shots weekly in any of the categories below and share them on your online digital portfolio.
Considerations
Your photographic skills will improve during the course so you should always revisit the proposed categories.
Grading Criteria
Each Photographic Assignment is worth 2 point. All photos (36 per category) should be uploaded to your Portfolio for final presentation.
36+ images = 2 points
31 to 35 images = 1.9 points
26 to 30 images = 1.7 points
21 to 25 images = 1.4 points
16 to 20 images = 1.2 points
11 to 15 images = 0.85 points
6 to 10 images = 0.5 points
1 to 5 images = 0.25 points
